strange invention

"What makes photography a strange invention is that its primary raw materials are light and time." -John Berger

Strange Invention explores the inherent influence of light and time on a photograph. The use of 35mm film makes each frame unique, each a perfect document of a fleeting moment. Through the photographic process,  the moment is transformed into a two dimensional, tangible object that can be held, revisited and experienced by anyone.

Photography is a vehicle to measure a life lived; a personal accounting and unique view of a human experience. It gives the opportunity to record instances that otherwise might have been forgotten and lost to the pace of daily life. Thus ensuring that the sublime, which manifests itself in the everyday, is captured in perpetuity.
