Bio
Diana Vidal, a multimedia artist born in Dominican Republic and based in Beacon, NY. The work she creates delves into the themes of time, memory, and the fleeting nature of experience. Influenced by her ongoing experiences with epilepsy, her art serves as a visual exploration into the ephemeral aspects of time and memory. Diana uses digital and analog photography, artist books, and video as vehicles for her ongoing experimentation with lens-based media. At its core, her work is a reflection on the power of the image (still or moving) to document the transient nature of existence.
Diana has curated and exhibited work in galleries such as Site:Brooklyn, Transmitter Gallery (Brooklyn, NY), Beacon Artist Union, and Distortion Society (Beacon, NY). She also serves Co-Founder and Director of Super Secret Projects, an artist-run gallery dedicated to nurturing artists and making art more accessible and inclusive to the wider community.
