Time is not flat. Memory isn't static. Age warps recall.
Drawing inspiration from the fleeting nature of life and the power of photography to capture a singular moment in time, I create sculptural photographs that embody the poetry of everyday life and the distortions of time and memory. Through the use of 35mm film, I immortalize the mundane and sublime moments alike, preserving them for posterity.
Once printed, these images become sculptural objects that I physically manipulate, folding, crushing, and stiffening them to represent the ways in which memories can become distorted and fragmented over time. These sculptures serve as a testament to the poetic beauty of life and the importance of cherishing the moments that shape us.
My work is a fusion of photography and sculpture, embodying the sublime moments of life and transforming them into tangible objects that serve as a physical representation of the distortions of time and memory. Each piece serves as a unique reminder of the importance of cherishing every moment, as it will never be the same again.
