Artist Statement

Through my work as a multi-media artist, book maker, and photographer, I seek to understand the relationship between time and memory, and to capture and preserve small, sublime moments that might otherwise be lost.

My interest in time and memory began with my experience of epilepsy, which heightened my awareness of the fluidity and fragility of memory. Using analog photography, I aim to highlight the materiality of memory and capture the fleeting moments of everyday life.

My work takes many forms, including books, photography and assemblage work. I am constantly experimenting with new ways of using lens based media to create meaning. My goal is to create work that is beautiful, evocative, and thought-provoking, and that invites viewers to reflect on their own experiences of time and memory.

Ultimately, my art is a reflection of my ongoing investigation into time, memory, and the ways in which they intersect. Through my work, I hope to create a space for contemplation and reflection, and to encourage viewers to consider the ways in which photography can be used to capture and preserve the fleeting moments of our lives.
